Working Together Towards a Better World
Overnight Bethany Youth Camp
November 8-10
Bethany Centre for Learning
727 Bethany Hills Rd, Bethany, ON L0A 1A0
This camp will train youth to build their capacity to walk a path of service. Youth will have an opportunity to study materials of the Ruhi Institute to help to develop the capacity for various acts of service such as: teaching children's classes, animating junior youth groups, visits to parents and community members and service to siblings.
The Bethany Centre for Learning is an overnight camp facility which can accommodate large groups. The property sits on a beautiful piece of land in the country, 1.5 hours outside of Toronto, surrounded by a horse farm. Male and female participants will sleep in separate areas, with male and female chaperones to support safety and comfort. Parents are welcome to join as additional chaperones.

Junior Youth Empowerment Program
The program engages small groups of junior youth, those between the ages of 11 and 14, in settings that enable them to strengthen their power of expression, to explore profound themes and questions in group discussions, to participate in arts and crafts, storytelling, and engage in meaningful service to their community.
-
Academic Tutoring
The Roywood Community Centre offers academic tutoring for junior youth in grades 6, 7 and 8 with the aim of ensuring they are well prepared to enter high school. Our efforts, drawing on the assistance of Ontario certified teachers and trained tutors, focus on strengthening the acquisition of language – vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing, and eloquent speech; mathematics – number sense, fractions, and algebra; and scientific ability.

Youth Mentorship Program
To build and sustain truly prosperous communities depends to a great extent on the effectiveness of the preparations the youth make for the world they will inherit. The Roywood Neighborhood Centre offers systematic training to help youth generate and apply knowledge for the progress of their communities.

Family Camps
The wellbeing of families and the development of the community are interdependent. In connection with its efforts to support youth, the Centre draws families together for periodic workshops and retreats, providing a joyous, encouraging space to consult on themes central to supporting children and youth and the progress of the community.
